Pitt Returns to Penn State for the PSU National Open

PITTSBURGH – Pitt track and field is set to return to University Park, Pa. for the Penn State National Open on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31.
- On Friday, field events start at 3:30 p.m. with the women's weight throw. Track events begin with the women's 60-meter hurdles prelims at 4 p.m.
- Saturday will start with the women's 600-meter run at 10:15 a.m. Field events follow at 10:30 a.m. with the women's high jump.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Panthers earned five first place, ten second place and five third place finishes at the Nittany Lion Challenge two weeks prior.
- Pitt swept the 200-meter races with Somiyah Braggs and Darren McQueen Jr. placing first with respective times of 24.09 and 21.71.
- Freshman Malachi Williams earned his first collegiate victory, crossing the line in 33.93 for the 300-meter victory.
- Quintin Gatons went the distance for the 3k win, stopping the clock in 8:09.95.
- Uri Arnon notched a personal best 15.24-meters en route to first place in the triple jump.

- Pitt will head to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Penn Classic on Feb. 6-7.
