
Panthers Place Six on 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE – The Pitt women's basketball program placed six student-athletes on the 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Marley Washenitz garnered honors for the third-consecutive season, while Aaryn Battle, Audrey Biggs, MaKayla Elmore, Mikayla Johnson and Brooklynn Miles earned the first nod of their Pitt careers.
In total, Pitt has now placed 34 student-athletes on the All-ACC Academic Team since joining the conference in 2013-14.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
Marley Washenitz***
Washenitz, a native of Fairmont, W.Va., was the lone Panther to play and start in all 32 games, while averaging 9.3 PPG and 2.7 APG. Of note, Washenitz led the team in steals with 75 (2.3 per game).
Aaryn Battle
Battle appeared in all 32 games, including four starts – while averaging 3.3 PPG, 2.5 RPG and 1.6 APG. The Sewell, N.J., product shot 78.3 percent from the free throw line and scored in double figures three times.
Audrey Biggs
Biggs appeared in 27 games during the 2024-25 campaign, playing 10+ minutes on 13 occasions. She averaged 2.1 PPG, while shooting 40.0 percent from 3-point range and 93.8 percent from the free throw line.
MaKayla Elmore
Elmore played in all 32 games, while making 29 starts. The Fostoria, Ohio product played 20+ minutes in every game, while averaging 7.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest. She scored in double figures 10 times and recorded three double-doubles – good for second on the team.
Mikayla Johnson
In her first season as a Panther, Johnson was one of five players to play in all 32 games. Of note, she ranked second on the team in scoring (10.9 PPG) and 3-point field goals (41).
Brooklynn Miles
Miles, a native of Frankfort, Ky., played in all 32 games, while making 27 starts. She averaged 4.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. Additionally, she was the lone Panther to compile 100+ assists and 45+ steals.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
