The Opening Tip

The Pitt Panthers downed the Le Moyne Dolphins, 87-65 at the Petersen Events Center Tuesday evening.
Four Panthers scored in double figures, led by freshman Theresa Hagans Jr., who posted a career-high 17 points, eight assists and three steals in her first collegiate start.
Angel Jones added 12 points, surpassing the 1,000-point mark for her career.
Fatima Diakhate recorded her fourth straight double-digit scoring effort, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds, her third double-double of the season.
Mikayla Johnson contributed 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Series History

Saturday will mark the 26^th meeting between Pitt and neighboring school Robert Morris, with Pitt undefeated in the all-time series.
The series dates back to Feb. 17, 1976, when Pitt came out on top, 62-24.
The teams most recently faced off last year, with Pitt owning a 64-51 victory at the Petersen Events Center.
