The Opening Tip

The Pitt women's basketball team fell to Scranton Sunday afternoon, 69-63.
Three Panthers reached double figures in scoring.
- Fatima Diakhate led the Panthers with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting and grabbed 9 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.
- In her first start as a Panther, Carla Viegas knocked down 6-of-12 field goal attempts, including 4-of-8 from long range, for 16 points, including 10 in the third quarter.
- Angel Jones tallied 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Series History

Tuesday will mark the second meeting between the two programs, with Pitt holding the series advantage, 1-0.
Pitt defeated Le Moyne at home on Dec. 28, 2023 by a score of 56-39.

Scouting the Dolphins

Le Moyne is 1-2 on the season. Their victory came against Lafayette in overtime on Nov. 9.
This will be Le Moyne's third year as a Division I institution. Le Moyne went 7-24 in the 2024-25 season.
Head Coach Nick DiPillo was an assistant coach at Pitt during the 2022-23 season.
