Pitt (8-5) had a chance to break the tie in the top of the sixth as Taylor got on with a single and stole second base, her seventh of the season. A fly out, foul out and strikeout ended the frame as the Panthers could not get her in. Upstate (11-1) got a runner on first with a single up the middle in the bottom of the seventh and one out, but back-to-back strikeouts from Drogemuller sent the game to extras.
