Thank you, Pitt Softball.
These past three years have meant more to me than I can fully put into words. I could not be more appreciative to have had the opportunity to coach at my alma mater. This program helped shape who I was as an athlete and as a person, so having the opportunity to return and give back as a coach has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life.
When I first stepped into this role, I knew there would be challenges ahead, but I also knew how much potential existed within this program. Watching this team grow over the last three years has been so rewarding. Together, we worked to build a culture of accountability, resilience, and belief in one another. I am so proud of how far this program has come, not just in results, but in the way everyone supports each other every single day and the culture the student athletes created.
Most importantly, I want to thank Coach Allard, Coach Schurr, Coach Dail, and the athletes I've had the privilege to coach. Thank you for trusting me and making work fun every day. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. The relationships, memories, and moments we shared are things I will carry with me forever.
While I am excited for my next adventure, leaving this program is incredibly difficult because this place will always feel like home to me. Thank you to everyone — the administrators, athletes, families, supporters — for embracing me and making these past three years unforgettable. I will always be proud to call myself part of this program, and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things still ahead for Pitt Softball.
