PITTSBURGH – 34 members of the Pitt track and field team will compete at the 2022 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, running from Thursday to Saturday at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, VA. The 2022 Championship meet is being hosted by Virginia Tech.

HOW TO FOLLOW
- Live results for the three-day meet will be available HERE.
- A live stream of events for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will air on ACC Network Extra.
- Thursday's stream will begin at 5:30 pm and run until the end of competition. Watch Thursday's action HERE.
- Friday's live stream can be watched HERE and will air from 12:00 pm – end of action on Friday.
- Saturday's live stream can be watched HERE and will air from 12:55 pm – end of action Saturday.
- The three-day meet will open up for the Panthers at 11:00 am on Thursday as Ilse Steigenga will be competing in the women's pentathlon 60m hurdles.
- Felix Wolter will then begin the events for the men on Thursday at 11:30 am as he competes in the heptathlon 60m dash.
- The Panthers will close Thursday out with the men's and women's DMR. The women's DMR, starting at 6:00 pm, will feature Ally Brunton, Mary Borkoski, Caroline Bolen and Emily Brown. The men's DMR, beginning at 6:30, will feature the team of Evan Addison, Josh Higgins, Jack Balick and Jack Miller.
- Competition for the Panthers on Friday will begin at 10:00 am as Wolter will finish the heptathlon with the 60m hurdles, pole vault and the 1000m run.
- The women's Friday events will begin with Mary Borkoski running in the 5000m.
- Field events for Pitt on Friday will begin at 2:00 pm as Noah Walker and Daniel Amaya compete in the weight throw.
- Friday's events will conclude for Pitt at 6:45 when Lydia Bottelier competes in the women's high jump.
- Championship Saturday events start at 12:00 pm with the men's shot put and run through 4:50 pm as the men's 4x400m relay ends the weekend of action.
- The Virginia Tech men dominated the ACC Indoor Championships last year with a team score of 136. North Carolina and Florida State placed second and third with scores of 81 and 76, respectively.
- Florida State's women are the defending ACC Indoor Champions after scoring 95 points a season ago followed by Miami (85) and Virginia (72.5).
- There are four women's programs that enter this week's Championship meet in the top-25 rankings with host Virginia Tech being the highest ranked women's program at No. 9 in the country. The Hokies are followed by NC State (11), Notre Dame (12) and Duke (25).
- On the men's side, there are three programs in the national rankings heading into the Championship meet: Notre Dame at No. 7, Florida State at No. 13 and Clemson at No. 23.
- The ACC currently has three men as the top ranked in the country in their respective event: Trey Cunningham (FSU) in the 60m hurdles (7.42), Adriaan Wildschutt (FSU) in the 5000m (13:09.30) and Yared Nuguse (ND) in the 3000m (7:38.13).
- Several Panthers rank inside the top-10 among ACC performances entering the league Championships in Blacksburg this week:

LAST YEAR AT THE INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The Panthers closed out their 2021 ACC Indoor Championship meet with one ACC Champion and four podiums while the men's team posted their best finish at the championship meet in program history.
- The Pitt men tied for fourth place as they posted a program record 48 points. The men had four podiums on the weekend which was a program record highlighted by Felix Wolter who became the Panthers first ACC Champion in the Heptathlon.
- In all, the Pitt men had two individuals (Wolter, Greg Lauray) earn First Team All-ACC honors while 12 others earned Second Team All-ACC honors across the weekend. The 14 All-ACC performers for the men marked a program record as the previous high for All-Conference honorees was eight (2014, 2016).
- Wolter earned the first place finish while Greg Lauray (high jump), Evan Addison, Matt Wilson, Josh Higgins and Jack Miller (DMR) and Lonzell Feagin, Matt Wilson, Raymond Oriakhi and Ade Jones-Roundtree (4x400m relay) all took home second place.
- On the women's side, Pitt was able to post a 13th finish with 14 points as three individuals and two relays notched points for the Panthers. Junior Eddita Pessima and senior Abena Atuobi each earned Second Team-All ACC honors for the first time in their careers.
- The Panthers will fight for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships qualification, set for Friday and Saturday, March 11-12 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
