PITTSBURGH – After a week off, the Pitt track and field team will return to action this weekend as they head down to Knoxville for the Tennessee Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee at Tom Black Track. The three-day meet will run from Thursday, Apr. 8 until Saturday, Apr. 10.

PITTSBURGH – After a week off, the Pitt track and field team will return to action this weekend as they head down to Knoxville for the Tennessee Relays, hosted by the University of Tennessee at Tom Black Track. The three-day meet will run from Thursday, Apr. 8 until Saturday, Apr. 10.
HOW TO FOLLOW
- All three days of the meet will be streamed online on SEC Network+. Links to the live stream will be posted once becoming available.

- The meet will begin for the Panthers on Thursday as three throwers will be competing on day one for Pitt. Shannah Mallett and Foluke Olujide-Ajibade will compete in the women's hammer throw at 4:00 pm followed by Noah Walker in the men's hammer throw at 6:30 pm.
- Action will begin on Friday at 2:45 pm with the men's 110m hurdles as Crockett Schooler, Kollin Smith, Matt Thompson, Matt Wilson and Raymond Oriakhi will all vie for the hurdles title.
- The final event of an event-filled day for Pitt will be the women's 5000m run as the Panthers will have a pair of freshmen competing, Olivia Zambrio and Sadie Carey-Tharp.
- Felix Wolter will compete in the pole vault at 11:00 am on Saturday to open up the field events for the Panthers and Greg Lauray will close out action in the high jump at 1:00 pm.
- Action on the track on Saturday will begin at 1:00 pm with the women's 4x1500m relay and conclude with the men's 4x400m relay at 4:35 pm.
- The second weekend of the outdoor season proved to be an impressive one for the Panthers as they posted 14 top-10 marks. Pitt posted 12 top-10 marks at the Raleigh Relays and two at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
- Leading the way for the Panthers at the Raleigh Relays was Nick Wolk (10,000m), Noah Walker (Hammer Throw) and Eddita Pessima (100m hurdles) who each notched the second best performance in program history in their respective events.
- Abena Atuobi (Shot Put) and Zach Lefever (3000m Steeplechase) posted the third best marks in program history while Ally Brunton posted the fourth best time in the 800m run and the fifth fastest time in the 1500m run.
- The other top-10 marks on the women's side came from Lydia Bottelier, fifth best mark in the high jump, Emily Brown, fifth fastest time in the 3000m steeplechase and Shannah Mallett, seventh best mark in the hammer throw.
- The other top-10 marks for the Pitt men at the Raleigh Relays came from Jack Miller in the 3000m steeplechase as he posted the eighth fastest time in program history while the quartet of Kollin Smith, Matt Wilson, Ade Jones-Roundtree and Lonzell Feagin notched the 10th fastest time in the 4x100m relay.
- AT the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, the Panthers had a pair of student-athletes notch top-10 marks as Donovan Brickus cleared 1.85m in the high jump, the 10th best mark in program history, while Laurel Kun notched a shot put distance of 13.04m, the 10th best in program history.
- The Panthers return to action next weekend as they travel to Charlottesville, VA for the Virginia Challenge from April 16-17 at Lannigan Field.
