Pitt Resumes Action Sunday at No. 3 Duke
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Pittsburgh tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to FAU Friday afternoon in the final non-conference match of the season.
With the loss, the Panthers drop to 4-9 on the year, while the Owls move to 7-7.
"We always talk about good teams being able to run with the leads and today we had some momentum early in doubles and we couldn't capitalize on it," said head coach Alex Santos. "We will have to put this one behind us."
FAU earned the 1-0 advantage after clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and one.
Moving to singles, the Owls then won three straight matches to secure the dual, 4-0.
Pitt concludes its weekend trip at No. 3 Duke Sunday, March 17 in Durham at Noon.
