        Started all 31 games ... averaged 9.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per        game... ranked second on the team in both rebounds and assists a contest ... also ranked        second among team leaders in blocked shots (36/1.2 per game) ... tallied double-figure        scoring in 13 games on the season ... grabbed double-digit rebounding totals in six        contests ... had three or more assists in a 15 games, while collecting at least four        rebounds in 29 games... registered 40 three-pointers, second on the team ... concluded        collegiate career with a double-double, tallying 11 points and 13 rebounds versus Marquette        in the Big East Tournament second round... had a season-high 20 points on senior night        against Villanova on Feb. 28, draining a season-best seven field goals ... had 16 points        and five rebounds at Syracuse on Jan. 26 ... scored 17 points vs. Marquette on Jan. 29 and        followed that performance with 15 points against Cincinnati on Feb. 1 ...         JUNIOR SEASON (2009-10)
        Set career-high's in nearly every offensive category after playing in all 31 games and        making 26 starts on the season...averaged 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, ranking        third and second on the team respectively...had 16 double-digit scoring games...led the        Panthers in scoring in seven games on the year...grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds against        Appalachian State (Nov. 27) and at Villanova (Feb. 17)...one of three Pitt players to be        named to the all-tournament team at the Pitt Thanksgiving Tournament...finished with 16        points and hit a career-best five three pointers against Duquesne (Dec. 29)...dished out        career-high six assists on two occasions; against Rutgers (Jan. 10) and at Cincinnati (Feb.        27)...played a career-high 41 minutes and scored a personal-best 21 points in overtime loss        to Syracuse (Feb. 2)...had a career-high five blocks in regular-season finale at home        against St. John's (Mar. 1).
        
        SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008-09)
        Shayla Scott started in all 33 games for the Panthers during her sophomore        season...averaged 8.7 points per game and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game...notched five        double-doubles on the year...set career-high numbers in every statistical category,        including rebounds with 18 against Notre Dame...went 5-for-9 and added six rebounds in        Pitt's 86-57 dismantling of No. 8 Maryland...hit two key three pointers in overtime to        seal a victory over Rutgers on the road...was 4-of-6 from the field and finished with 11        points against Montana in the NCAA First Round game.
        
        FRESHMAN SEASON (2007-08)
        Shayla Scott played in 28 games during the season and started 11...she suffered an ankle        injury during the season that hampered her playing time...scored nine points on 4-of-6        shooting against Connecticut...returned from an injury that kept her out four games to        score nine points in 17 minutes in win at DePaul...earned her first career double-double        against Ohio with 12 points and 10 rebounds...scored 10 points and added three assists and        two blocks in win at Mount St. Mary's in 26 minutes...grabbed nine rebounds in win        over Arizona...earned a start in her first career game scoring nine points and adding eight        rebounds in 30 minutes.
        
        HIGH SCHOOL
        Shayla Scott enters Pitt ranked as the No. 145th overall and 27th best forward in the        country by the All-Star Girls Report...named to the Fab five WPIAL QUAD A in her junior        season and was a second team WPIAL QUAD A honoree in her sophomore year...Scott is a        three-time third team all-state honoree and has earned numerous player of the week honors        by the Post-Gazette...as a freshman, Scott was named the Eat `n Park Hospitality Group        Freshman Player of the Year...as a sophomore she was named to the AAU National Championship        All-America team...as a junior Scott averaged 15.8 points, eight rebounds and three assists        per game.

        Shayla Scott is the daughter of Jennifer Bruce Scott, a former player and second leading        scorer in Pitt women's basketball history, and Rod Scott...has one brother Tyler        (17)...Niece of current Pitt Associate AD and former Pitt women's basketball coach        Kirk Bruce...Secretary of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Blue and Gold        society...graduated high school with honors...earned bachelor's degree in media and        professional communications and working toward a master's degree in health and        fitness.
