Pisacreta Named Preseason Top 50 Catcher by D1Baseball

PITTSBURGH – Pitt junior Sebastian Pisacreta was named a Preseason Top 50 Catcher by D1Baseball this week. The Swedesboro, NJ native came in at No. 40 in D1Baseball's rankings.
Pisacreta made a career high 45 starts in a career high 50 games played as a sophomore last season. He finished his 2025 campaign with 41 hits, 34 RBIs, 33 runs scored, nine doubles and eight home runs to pair with a .817 OPS.
In the first two years of his collegiate career, Pisacreta has collected 50 hits, 44 runs scored, 43 RBIs, 38 walks, 11 doubles and 10 home runs in 69 games for the Panthers.
Pisacreta and the Panthers begin their 2026 season on Friday, February 13th against the Western Michigan Broncos in Port Charlotte, FL.
