PITTSBURGH – Pitt Cross Country returns to Lehigh's Goodman Campus Course for the 2025 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, Friday. The women's 6k race starts at 12 p.m., followed by the men's 10k race at 1 p.m.
The Panthers previously raced at Lehigh on Oct. 3 for the 51st Paul Short Run. The men finished 10th and the women 12th. Thomas McMahon was the top finisher for the men with an 8k mark of 23:34.4, earning 18th place. Camy Kiser recorded a personal best in the 6k with a 20:18.2 time.
HOW IT WORKS
Pitt is the only ACC team to compete in the Mid-Atlantic regional. Pitt will face schools from around the region, including Bucknell, Duquesne, Georgetown, Lafayette, Lehigh, Maryland, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Robert Morris, Rutgers, Villanova and West Virginia.
The top two teams from each region will advance to the upcoming NCAA Division I Championships on Friday, Nov. 22. 13 at-large team selections will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 15. The top four finishers not associated with a qualifying team at each regional meet are automatically selected. 38 additional individuals per gender will be selected during the selection show.
