Women's Soccer Falls to NC State at Home

PITTSBURGH — The Pitt women's soccer team (5-8-2, 1-6 ACC) fell to NC State, 1-0, on Friday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
Both teams exchanged opportunities in a scoreless first half, with the Panthers recording two shots on goal.
The Wolfpack found the breakthrough in the 61st minute when a deflected ball in the box landed at the feet of Mana Nakata, who slotted it home for the game's lone goal.
Margaret Wilde led Pitt with three shots, all on target. Five other Panthers found chances, including Lola Abraham with two shots.
The Panthers outshot the Wolfpack 9-7, with both sides placing three attempts on frame. Pitt goalkeeper Abby Reisz finished with two saves.

Pitt heads to Winston-Salem to face Wake Forest on Thursday, Oct. 23. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the match will stream on ACC Network Extra.
