
Panthers Travel to the Peach State for ACC Outdoor Championships

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt men's and women's track and field teams are set for the 2024 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Georgia Tech at George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta. Field and combined events will begin on Thursday, May 9 at 10 a.m. Running events commence later in the evening, at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony is slated for around 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

LAST TIME OUT – 2023 ACC OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
- At the 2023 ACC Outdoor Championships in Raleigh, N.C., the 4x100m relay team of Nigel Hussey, Clement Campbell, Darren McQueen Jr., and Stephon Brown set the school record with a time of 39.73. The group finished fifth overall and earned second team All-ACC honors. They are the only group to run sub-40 seconds in program history.
- Ilse Steigenga placed fourth in the women's long jump, earning second team All-ACC honors. She leaped 6.14 meters.
- Foluke Olujide-Ajibade placed fourth in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 59.37 meters. Olujide-Ajibade earned second team All-ACC honors.
- Devin Nugent came in fourth place in the men's 400-meter hurdles. His time of 51.44 earned second team All-ACC honors as a freshman.
- Clement Campbell leaped 7.58 meters to fourth place and second team All-ACC in the men's long jump. His mark stands as the fifth best in program history.
- Nigel Hussey took fifth in the men's 200-meter dash. He crossed the line in 21.06, collecting second team All-ACC honors.
- In the 1500m race, Finn Walsh ran a personal best and the second-best time in program history, 3:42.56.
- The women's team finished 11th with 25 points.
- The men's team finished 12th with 27 points.
