Pitt Gymnastics to Face Host New Hampshire, Southern Connecticut State, Illinois State
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team (9-10, 2-3 EAGL) will travel to Durham, NH for a quad meet against Southern Connecticut State (SCSU), Illinois State, and New Hampshire at the Whittemore Center Arena on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
- The University of Pittsburgh (194.950) gymnastics team (9-10, 2-3 EAGL) fell to North Carolina (195.700) on Sunday afternoon at the Fitzgerald Field House.
- The Panthers had a strong rotation on vault with Sidney Washington, Ciara Ward and Kennedy Duke all posting a 9.800 for their performances.
- Pitt finished the meet with their strongest rotation on floor – scoring a 48.975 overall. Senior Nay'Yarrah Winder posted the highest routine for Pitt – earning a 9.850.
- Sophomore Hallie Copperwheat claimed the first-place spot on the podium for her all-around performance - scoring a 39.250. Her performance from this weekend earned her EAGL Gymnast of the week for the fourth time this season – setting a new program record.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
- New Hampshire posted their highest road score of the season at N.C. State – scoring a 195.650.
- The Wildcats fell to the Wolfpack's 196.150 in Friday's dual meet.
- Sophomore Alyssa Beaulieu won the all-around with her 39.150 after posting a career-high on floor (9.850).
- This will be the 77th meeting between the Panthers and the Wildcats. New Hampshire currently holds a 57-20 lead over the Panthers.
SCOUTING SOUTHERN CONN. STATE
- SCSU secured a season high in bars, floor, and overall team score at Friday's dual meet against Maryland. Overall, the Owls fell to Maryland's 196.550.
- The team posted a 47.950 on bars, 48.725 on floor, and a 193.400 overall team score.
- At Friday's dual meet, three Owls claimed career-highs on floor and one on vault.
- Sunday will be the third meeting between the Panthers and the Owls. Pitt currently holds a 2-0 streak against the Owls.
SCOUTING ILLINOIS STATE
- The Redbirds secured a win over Southeast Missouri State on Friday night's Senior Meet.
- Illinois State posted a season-high on vault in the first rotation with their score of 49.175 – their second highest in program history.
- Senior Angelica Labat secured the first-place all-around title after posting four event score of 9.800 or higher - posting a season-high score of 39.225.
- Sunday's meet will be the second time the Panthers and the Redbirds have competed against each other with Pitt currently holding a 1-0 lead over Illinois State.
