PITTSBURGH – Head coach Casey Jo MacPherson and the Pitt gymnastics team are excited to announce that Mollie Korth will be joining the coaching staff. Korth comes to Pitt after spending the past two seasons at Nebraska.
"We are thrilled to have Mollie joining us at such an exciting time for our program," said MacPherson. "With the momentum we're building and a new facility that reflects our vision, her enthusiasm to help us reach the next level is tangible. The experience and expertise she brings will elevate so many aspects of what we do, and we're excited to have her with us as we continue to grow."
At Nebraska, Korth primarily served as the beam coach and floor choreographer. During her tenure, the Cornhuskers advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championships in both 2025 and 2026.
Under Korth's guidance, 19 Nebraska gymnasts recorded career-high scores during the 2025 season, including five on beam. The Huskers finished the year ranked No. 18 nationally on the event. Five athletes also posted career-best marks on floor exercise.
Before her time in Lincoln, Korth was an assistant coach for the Georgia Bulldogs during the 2024 season. The Bulldogs finished No. 18 in the final Road to Nationals poll and earned an NQS of 197.425. She worked with Georgia's beam squad, which ended the season ranked No. 17 nationally, and the floor lineup, which finished at No. 23 nationally.
Before becoming an assistant coach at Georgia, Korth served as a volunteer assistant with the Bulldogs and previously spent a season as a volunteer assistant at Pitt.
Korth competed at Kentucky, where she was the third Wildcat ever to be named All-SEC in four consecutive seasons. The Cambridge, Wis., native was the 2017 SEC Freshman of the Year. She was a three-time WCGA All-American and was one of six finalists for the AAI award during her senior year. In total, she was an 11-time All-American.
"I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to the University of Pittsburgh," said Korth. "Pitt holds a special place in my heart, and I'm honored to be back working alongside such outstanding student-athletes and staff. I can't wait to help the program continue to grow and achieve great things. H2P!"
