PITTSBURGH – Pitt baseball (27-25, 13-15) fell 19-3 to Georgia Tech (32-21, 14-15) Friday night at Charles L. Cost Field.

Georgia Tech led wire-to-wire with six runs in the first inning.

The Panthers got on the board in the fifth inning. With one out, Brock Franks doubled down the right field line. Dom Popa followed with a double off the left field wall to knock in Franks. Tatem Levins then hit another RBI-double that bounced over the right field wall.

Josh Overbeek hit his first collegiate homer to left field with two outs in the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter.
