PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh track and field team will begin the postseason portion of their scheduled this week as they travel south to Durham, NC to compete in the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium. The three-day conference championship meet will be hosted by Duke and will run from Thursday until Saturday evening.

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh track and field team will begin the postseason portion of their scheduled this week as they travel south to Durham, NC to compete in the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium. The three-day conference championship meet will be hosted by Duke and will run from Thursday until Saturday evening.

- The meet will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra each day. Links for each day's stream are below.
- Action will begin at Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium at 10:30 am on Thursday with the men's hammer throw followed by the beginning of the decathlon at 12:00 pm and the heptathlon at 1:00 pm.
- Track events will begin at 6:00 pm with the women's 400m hurdles and conclude at 8:40 pm with the men's 10,000m run on Thursday night.
- The decathlon and heptathlon will open up action Friday at 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, respectively. The men's triple jump will begin the field events at 3:00 pm followed by the women's shot put at 6:00 pm.
- Friday's track action will begin at 6:00 pm with the women's 100m hurdles prelims and conclude at 8:45 pm with the men's 3000m steeplechase.
- The final day of competition will begin at 11:00 am with the men's discus and the first track event will begin at 5:10 pm with the men's 4x100m relay. The meet will conclude with the women's and men's 4x400m relays at 8:30 pm and 8:40 pm, respectively.
- Medalists (top three) in each individual event will earn All-ACC first team honors. Student-athletes placing fourth through sixth in each individual event will comprise the second team.
- Members of each winning relay team will be designated All-ACC first team. Members of each second and third place relay team will earn All-ACC second team honors.
- Entering the ACC Outdoor Championships, the Pitt women rank in the top-10 in four individual events and one relays.

- Entering the ACC Outdoor Championships, the Pitt men rank in the top-10 in nine individual events and two relays.

- The Pitt men finished the weekend with 35.5 points to earn 10th place overall in the field of 15 teams while the women scored 20 points and finished in 12th place overall.
- In all, the Panthers had two First Team All-ACC performances and six Second Team All-ACC performances.
- The best performance of the weekend came from sophomore Lydia Bottelier who was able to bring home the silver medal in the women's high jump with a new personal record leap. Bottelier cleared a height of 5-8.75 (1.75m) to secure her first podium of her career while also earning First Team All-ACC honors. Her height also marked the third best in program history in the event.
- The quartet of Felix Wolter, Lonzell Feagin, Matt Wilson and Ade Jones-Roundtree saved their best performance of the season for Saturday night in the final event of the meet. The 4x400m relay squad crossed the finish line in third place in an exciting race as they finished in 3:07.59, the sixth fastest time in the event in program history. Their performance earned them a spot on the podium and Second Team All-ACC honors.
- Another strong Saturday performance was turned in by senior Noah Walker who scored points for the Panthers once again, this time in the discus. The Wayne, PA native broke his own school record in the discus with a huge PR throw of 188-1 (57.32m) on his final attempt in the prelims to qualify for the finals. That record-breaking throw stood as his best throw of the event, securing a fourth place finish, Second Team All-ACC honors and five team points.
- The Pitt men had a pair of student-athletes post fourth place finishes in the finals on Saturday to earn Second Team All-ACC honors. Senior Ade Jones-Roundtree posted a new personal record time of 46.18 seconds in the 400m dash, third fastest in program history, to secure five points for the squad. Junior Matt Wilson finished off an impressive race in the 400m hurdles with a personal record time of 51.97 seconds, the ninth fastest time in program history in the event, to also earn five points for the team.
- On the women's side, Eddita Pessima notched Second Team All-ACC honors in the 400m hurdles as she crossed the finish line in fifth place with a new personal record time of 58.72 seconds. Her time marked the fifth fastest in program history in the event and secured four points for the team.
- The Panthers will send a group of student-athletes to Bloomington, IN for the NCAA East Preliminary Round at Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on May 26-28.
- In order to qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary round, student-athletes will have to rank inside the top-48 in their respective individual event or inside the top-24 in their respective relay event.
