Adams Wins Two In Victory Over West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.—Sophomore Elizabeth Adams improved her win streak to six, as the University of Pittsburgh women’s tennis team won a 4-3 match over Big East rival West Virginia, this afternoon. The Panthers stand at 3-0 on the year.
Adams remained undefeated this season, as she posted a hard-fought two-set win in No. 1 singles over Olga Elkin (6-4, 6-4).
Junior Sabrina Visram and sophomore Adela Aprodu recorded comeback victories in No. 2 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Additionally, senior Kristy Borza earned her second win of the season in singles action. She and Adams also earned the Panthers’ lone victory in doubles.
Pitt hosts Seton Hall on Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m., at the Oxford Athletic Club.
