Women's Tennis Remains Perfect, 4-0

WEXFORD, Pa.—Pitt’s women’s tennis team improved to an unblemished 4-0, at the Oxford Athletic Club, this evening, as it recorded a 5-2 win over Seton Hall. The victory is the third consecutive Big East win for the Panthers.
The match began with Pitt earning the doubles point. In No. 1 doubles, senior Kristy Borza and Elizabeth Adams improved to 10-2 on the year with an 8-4 victory.
The No. 2 duo of junior Sabrina Visram and senior Christie D’Achille gave the Panthers the edge with an 8-5 win.
Visram later overcame a second-set loss in singles action to pick up another point for the Panthers.
Likewise, Adams dropped her first set in singles but battled back to win 6-4 in the second set and won the match with a 6-1 advantage in the deciding frame.
Sophomore Adela Aprodu earned a victory after a tough 7-6(3) victory in the first set. She then won 6-3 for the two-set victory.
Pitt is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. against A-10 foe St. Bonaventure at The Club, in Monroeville.
