Visram Continues Unbeaten Singles Streak

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Pitt freshman Sabrina Visram of the women's tennis team continues her undefeated season in singles, however the Panthers fell 4-3 to West Virginia on the road. Pitt drops to 4-2, having loss the last two away matches.

Visram (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) improved to 6-0 in singles action with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over WVU's Stephanie LaFortune in No. 4 singles.

Sophomores Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) and Christie D'achille (Gibsonia, Pa./North Allegheny) also posted wins in singles. Borza garnered a quick two set win, not giving up a point in the No. 1 slot. D'achille was victorious in the No. 6 slot with two set win (6-3, 6-2) over Ashley Constantine.

Dropping the doubles point for the second straight match, all three doubles team were defeated. The duo of Borza and junior Leah Friedman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) played the closest match in an 8-6 loss to the No. 1 team of Natalie Prinz and Stacey Percival.

Pitt faces Big East foe Seton Hall on Saturday in Morgantown.
