Borza was one of four Panthers to earn two-set shutouts in the match, including juniors Leah Friedman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) and Carlie Smith (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and sophomore Christie D'achille (Gibsonia, Pa./North Allegheny).
Smith now boasts 91 career wins, while Friedman is 15 wins shy of joining the 100-Victories Club.
Sweeping doubles, the Panthers earned the early point in the match. As a team, Pitt only gave up one point in all three matches combined. Visram and D'achille earned their win the quickest in the No. 3 slot.
