JUNIOR (2005): Sidelined with a season-ending injury in April...finished with an 11-17 singles and 7-15 doubles record...named to the ITA All-Academic team for a second consecutive year. SOPHOMORE (2004): Continued to improve, adding 12 more singles wins and nine doubles victories...named to the Big East Academic All-Star Team for a second straight year...also named to ITA All-American Team. FRESHMAN (2003): Finished the season with a 14-12 singles record and a 4-3 doubles record... named to the Big East Academic All-Star Team...also named an ITA Scholar-Athlete. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Providence High School in Charlotte, N.C. where she was a four-year letterwinner under coach Sandy Martin...two-time Southwestern Class 4A Player of theYear...four-time All-Mecklenburg First Team selection...four-time Scholar-Athlete Award winner...named Panther Pride Athlete of the Year Award winner as a senior. PERSONAL: Born September 8, 1983...daughter of Tom and Bobbi Emmers...has two brothers, Scott and Brett...majors in Communication & Rhetoric.
