AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Competed in six single matches and 12 doubles matches.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17): Competed in No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spot for singles matches and the No. 2 and No. 3 spot for doubles matches … Won her first collegiate match against West Virginia’s Jordan Christina 6-2, 6-4 … Won first collegiate doubles match of the season against FIU with partner Gabriela Rezende … Finished the season 8-6 in doubles matches with partner Gabriela Rezende.
HIGH SCHOOL/INTERNATIONAL PLAY: Knezevic graduated from University of Nebraska High School (Belgrade, Serbia) in 2016. A right-handed shot, Jovana began playing tennis at six years old. She was chosen as the best player in her age group in her country by the Cyprus Tennis Federation in 2006. She has attended academics such as Tennis Academy Nikola Pilic (2007), SC Academia Sanchez-Casal (2007), and IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis Academy (2008, 2009, 2010, 2014). In 2010, reached the Quarter Finals Main Draw in the Eddie Herr U12 International. Also in 2010, made the Round of 16 in the Junior Orange Bowl U12. In 2011, Knezevic reached the Main Draw Quarterfinal in the Cukurova Cup Girls’ 12. In 2012 she finished in 9th place and 7th place in the ITF/Europe Development Championship in Week 1 and 2, respectively. In the Amman International Tournament (Jordan) 1 and 2 Main Draw, she had a Quarterfinal and Semifinal showing, respectively. In 2013, at the AS Open Skopje (Macedonia) Main Draw, Knezevic reached the Semifinal. In 2014, she passed three rounds of Qualification at Nis (Serbia) and reached the 2nd round in Podgorica (Montenegro). In 2015 at Le Reunion (France) she reached the Quarter Finals in the Main Draw. Also in France, Les Contamines, she passed three rounds Qualification and one round Main Draw. Knezevic has held the No. 1 rating in Cyprus at the U10, U12, and most recently, the U18 level in 2014. She was ranked 510 in the ITF Juniors U18 in 2014. She also was ranked 993 in singles and 969 in doubles by the WTA in late 2015.
