Panthers Close 2025-26 Season Sunday Against NC State

PITTSBURGH – Pitt will wrap up the 2025-26 season Sunday afternoon when it hosts NC State at 2 p.m. inside the Petersen Events Center. The contest will air on ACC Network.

THE OPENING TIP

Pitt closed out its final road contest of the season with a 79-58 loss to Miami Thursday night at the Watsco Center.
Junior guard Carla Viegas led Pitt offensively, pouring in a career-high 27 points behind an 8-of-16 effort from three-point range. Viegas' eight made three-pointers is a career-high and the most makes by a Panther in a single game in program history. The Malaga, Spain native finished 9-of-18 from the field.
Freshman guard Theresa Hagans Jr. added 15 points and three assists.
Fatima Diakhate recorded a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with eight points.

SERIES HISTORY

Sunday marks the 15^th meeting between Pitt and NC State.
The Wolfpack lead the all-time series, 12-2.

SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK

NC State features four players scoring in double figures: Khamil Pierre (16.8 ppg), Zoe Brooks (16.4 ppg), Zamareya Jones (14.4 ppg) and Tilda Trygger (11.5 ppg).
Pierre averages a double-double as she grabs 11.9 reounds per game. Her 19 double-doubles this season are tied for the third most in the country.
Brooks distributes 4.3 assists per game, while Jones adds 3.7 assists per contest.
