Two Panthers Earn Event Titles in Season Opener Against Texas Woman's University

DENTON, Texas – Two Panthers claimed event titles in Sunday afternoon's season opener, but Pitt ultimately fell to Texas Woman's University, 195.575–195.325.
Bars
The Panthers opened the meet strong on bars with a 49.150. Camryn Chiu tied her career high with a 9.850, while Jaime Pratt and Emily Todd followed with matching scores. Hallie Copperwheat made her return to the lineup, earning a 9.825, and Kennedy Duke added a 9.775.
Vault
Rookies Layla Bobek, Lailah Green and Makenzie Grant made their Panther debuts on vault, posting scores of 9.725, 9.750 and 9.700, respectively.
Floor
Meika Lee led Pitt on floor with a standout 9.900, tying her career high and earning a share of the event title. Freshman Kenzie Clark followed with a 9.825. Copperwheat recorded a 9.800, while Mali Morgan and Madi Bell posted scores of 9.775 and 9.750, respectively.
Beam
Chiu continued her strong day by tying another career high with a 9.850 on beam to earn a share of the event title. Copperwheat followed with a 9.800, and Lee and Bobek each closed the rotation with a 9.750.
