Last Time Out (vs. Georgetown)
Pitt fell to Georgetown, 1-0, last Friday evening at Shaw Field. The loss marked the Panthers' first of the 2025 campaign.
Pitt opened strongly, controlling possession and pressuring Georgetown's back line throughout the first half.
Despite the scoreless deadlock at halftime, the Panthers held a 6-3 edge in shots, maintained 61 percent possession and limited the Hoyas to no shots on goal. Pitt's best chance came in the 15th minute, when redshirt senior Tomas Bedouret forced a save from Georgetown's keeper.
Georgetown responded after the break, applying a high press and sustained pressure. The Hoyas broke through in the 75th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers pushed for an equalizer but couldn't find the back of the net, dropping their first match of the season.
Junior midfielder Anders Bordoy paced Pitt with four shots, including three in the first half. Junior goalkeeper Jack Moxom registered two saves.
