PITTSBURGH – Pitt men's soccer head coach Jay Vidovich announced the addition of Will Marshall to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Marshall, a North Versailles, Pennsylvania, native, returns to his alma mater after building an extensive coaching resume that includes professional, collegiate and academy experience.
"We are excited to welcome Will back to Pitt," Vidovich said. "He's a natural fit who has earned and enhanced what it means to wear the Pitt jersey. I know he will make a tremendous impact on our goalkeeping unit as well as our team culture."
Marshall played for the Panthers from 2014-18, earning a bachelor's degree in political science. He also competed at West Chester in 2018, where his team advanced to the Division II national championship match.
Following his playing career, Marshall entered coaching with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, serving as academy goalkeeper coach from 2014-18. He was promoted to assistant director of goalkeeping in 2019 before advancing to the first team as an assistant coach and director of goalkeeping from 2021-23.
Marshall spent the 2020 season as an assistant coach at Virginia Tech before returning to the Pittsburgh area. He most recently served as an assistant coach at Point Park in 2025 while also working as a coach for Pro Player Goalkeeping from 2021-26.
"Since my time as a player at Pitt, I have carried the lessons and standards instilled in me by Coach Vidovich," Marshall said. "I could not be more thrilled to be back on the field with him and the rest of the staff."
