Ellermeyer, Gagne named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's soccer standouts Katie Ellermeyer and Magali Gagne have been named PNC Achievers of the Week, the first recipients of the 2025-26 season. The honor is presented weekly to a pair of student-athletes who excelled in competition.
Ellermeyer, a freshman forward from San Diego, Calif., made an immediate impact by scoring the game-winning goals in each of her first two collegiate appearances. She tallied the decisive score in Pitt's 2-0 season-opening win over Xavier on Aug. 14 and again in the Panthers' 3-1 road victory at Monmouth on Aug. 17. Ellermeyer is the first Pitt freshman since Amanda West in 2019 to score in each of her first two matches.
Gagne, a junior midfielder, anchored the Panthers in both wins with her playmaking and consistency. She was a key force in the shutout of Xavier and followed with a goal and an assist against Monmouth. The performance marked the second time in her Pitt career she has recorded at least three points in a match.
The Panthers (2-0) return to action Thursday, Aug. 21, at Ambrose Urbanic Field against Ohio.
