Pitt Celebrates Successful Fall Semester In Classroom

PITTSBURGH – Pitt Athletics celebrated another strong semester in the classroom, highlighted by a cumulative 3.34 fall term GPA among all student-athletes and a school-record 94% graduation success rate announced earlier this fall. Twenty student-athletes graduated during winter commencement.
Twenty-seven student-athletes had a 4.0 term GPA while 43% of student-athletes had a fall GPA of 3.50 or greater. 77% of student-athletes had a 3.0 term GPA and 18 sport programs had a team GPA of better than 3.0 this fall.
Volleyball, gymnastics and cross country had the three highest GPAs in the fall amongst women's sport programs while soccer, swimming and wrestling topped the charts amongst men's sports.
