PITTSBURGH- Women's basketball's Theresa Hagans Jr. and wrestling's Dylan Evans have been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week for their standout performances over the past week.
Hagans Jr. is coming off a stellar performance against Boston College where she scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to help the Panthers come back from a 14-point deficit to secure their first ACC win of the season. The freshman finished with a career-high 24 points, five assists, two steals and two rebounds. She is the first Pitt freshman with 24 points and 5 assists in a game since Brianna Kiesel also had 24 points and 5 assists on Nov. 20, 2011 against Central Michigan.
Evans captured the 157-pound title at the 2025 Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, going 4–0 in the tournament to help Pitt earn a second-place finish in the team standings. Evans clinched the championship with a 4–2 victory over Indiana's Bryce Lowery, taking a 1–0 lead after a scoreless first period before recording a takedown to build a 4–1 advantage heading into the third. He then held on down the stretch to secure the title.
