Jansen, Bernard Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH — Pitt swimming and diving's Claire Jansen and Noah Bernard have been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week following standout performances in a road sweep of West Virginia on Saturday at the Mylan Park Aquatic Center.
The No. 24 Pitt women earned a 206-93 victory, while the men followed with a 180-119 win as the Panthers secured their fifth consecutive win over the Mountaineers.
Jansen led the women's effort with four first-place finishes, capturing individual wins in the 200 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. She posted a personal-best time of 50.00 in the 100 free and contributed to two relay victories, swimming on the 400 free relay and anchoring the 200 medley relay.
On the men's side, Bernard swept the diving events, claiming titles on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. He scored 344.93 on the 1-meter and recorded a personal-best 398.18 on the 3-meter.
