Augustine, Babin Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

PITTSBURGH – Luca Augustine and Nick Babin earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Augustine holds a 3.94 cumulative GPA in biology and was the recipient of the NCAA ELITE 90 Award, NWCA Scholar All-American honors, and was named the ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The redshirt-junior finished as the runner-up at the ACC Championships at 174-pounds and advanced to the Round of 12 at the NCAA Championships – just one win shy of earning All-American status. The three-time NCAA qualifier earned the No. 15 seed in the national tournament in March and finished the season with a 20-9 overall record.
Babin received his master's degree in finance with a 3.95 cumulative GPA at Pitt. The Emerson, N.J. native became the 125-pound starter for the Panthers after transferring from Columbia for his final year of eligibility. Babin posted a 13-11 record and finishing fourth at the ACC Championships to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships.
