
Pitt to Compete in Conference Championship Meet at Wake Forest

PITTSBURGH – Pitt Track and Field enters the post season with the start of the 2025 ACC Outdoor Championships. The meet will run May 15-17 at Kentner Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC, as Wake Forest plays host to this year's conference meet.

LAST TIME OUT – 2024 ACC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Je'Nyia Burton was crowned the women's 400-meter champion as she set a school and facility record in the event with her speedy time of 51.82. Following the conference meet, Burton went on to compete at the NCAA Championships where she earned Second-Team All America honors.
- Nigel Hussey produced 16 of the men's team's 21 points. The Snellville, Ga. native recorded a time of 6.70 in the 60-meter prelims. The following day, Hussey raced to a personal best 6.66 third place finish in the 60-meter final for the third best time in program history. Hussey claimed fourth place in the 200-meter final, with another personal best, 20.86. That time is the second-best time in the event in program history. To end the meet, Nigel helped the men's 4x400 relay team to a fourth-place finish.
- Sophomore Norrah Lemongo notched a podium performance in the women's weight throw. Lemongo launched a 21.53-meter personal best to go from fourth to second in the event in program history, collecting First Team All-ACC honors and a bronze medal in the process.
- High jumpers Eva Baldursdottir and Alesia Rengle earned points for the women's team with their fourth and eighth place finishes. Baldursdottir tied her 1.80-meter personal best while Rengle tallied a 1.74-meter mark.
- Mikhi Anderson tallied a seventh-place performance in the men's 60-meter hurdles in his first ACC Championship action.
- Malik Ricketts garnered eighth place in the men's 400-meter final, securing a point for the Panthers.
- The women's team achieved their highest finish, earning eighth place with 46 points, while the men's team tallied 21 points to receive 13th place.
