Panthers to Resume Action at No.18 Notre Dame on Monday

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball team will resume post-holiday play Monday evening at No. 18 Notre Dame. Tipoff at Purcell Pavilion is slated for 6 p.m. and can be viewed on the ACC Network.

THE OPENING TIP

Pitt fell to Duquesne, 84-69, in the City Game on the Bluff prior to the holiday break.
Mikayla Johnson led the way for Pitt with a season-high 23 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 40 minutes of action.
Amiya Jenkins tied her season-high in points with 11 off the bench.
Theresa Hagans Jr. added 14 points, five rebounds, a team-high four assists and a game-high three steals.
Lauren Rust led the Panthers in rebounds with eight.

SERIES HISTORY

Monday will mark the 42^nd meeting between Pitt and Notre Dame with the Fighting Irish leading the series 37-4.
Pitt has never beaten Notre Dame on the road.
The Panthers last defeated the Irish on March 4, 2020, on a neutral court in the first round of the ACC Tournament, 67-65.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH

Notre Dame is 9-2 this season and 7-0 in games played at home.
The Irish are led by the 2024-25 ACC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, Hannah Hidalgo. Hidalgo is averaging 25.1 points per game (3^rd in DI), 6.4 rpg, 6.1 spg (1^st in DI) and 5.1 apg.
Cassandre Prosper and Vanessa de Jesus also average double-figures, with 16.2 ppg and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
