Panthers Conclude ACC Championships in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Pittsburgh cross country teams wrapped up conference competition at the 2025 ACC Championships on Friday morning at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park, with the men finishing 11th and the women 16th against an elite conference field.
MEN'S RECAP
The Pitt men were led by sophomore Thomas McMahon, who paced the Panthers with a 30th-place finish in 23:33.6 over the 8K course. In their final conference meet of their careers, seniors Luke Simpson, Ethan Feinstein and Damian Frausto followed in scoring positions as Pitt totaled 343 points. Simpson stopped the clock in a personal best 23:54.4 for 52nd place.
WOMEN'S RECAP
On the women's side, the Panthers finished 16th, with junior Camy Kiser and freshman Maureen Cheruiyot leading the way in 62nd and 67th places, respectively. Cheruiyot, who crossed the line with a 6K time of 20:45.5 was exactly four seconds behind Kiser's time of 20:41.5. Collectively, Pitt amassed 449 points.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, Nov. 14 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships in Bethlehem, Pa as Lehigh was selected to host this year's meet. The women's 6K starts at 12 p.m. The men's 10K will follow at 1 p.m.
