- Pitt softball concludes its seven-game road stint with a single non-conference game against Saint Francis at the Red Flash Softball Field in Loretto, Pa. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. on NEC Front Row.
- The Panthers were originally scheduled to play an eight straight road games but had their Friday game at North Carolina canceled due to inclement weather. The weekend series in Chapel Hill was limited to a doubleheader on Sunday.
- Pitt holds a 15-8 record in non-conference games this season and leads the all-time series with Saint Francis, holding a 24-11 record against the Red Flash. The Panthers are 10-2 over the last 12 meetings with the Red Flash, dating back to March 2010.
- The Panthers will make the trip to Loretto for the first time since 2019, where they split a doubleheader on April 9. In their last meeting, the Panthers earned a 6-4 victory in game one before dropping the second contest of the day by a score of 11-3.
- Abby Edwards earned the win as a freshman in the 6-4 victory, recording a complete game while allowing just one earned run with two strikeouts.
- Eight of the Panthers' wins have come by four or more runs this season, including three wins by eight or more runs. 12 of their losses have been decided by three or fewer runs with four loses being decided by one run.
- The Panthers have out-hit their opponents in 17 of 32 games this season, including outhitting the FIU Panthers 21-12 over two games Feb. 17-18 and Notre Dame 37-22 over three games.
- Kat Rodriguez enters the game with an 11-game on-base streak and a six-game hitting streak. In 11 games, Rodriguez is batting .433 (13-for-30) with four doubles, five runs scored, three RBI and a home run.
- Sarah Seamans is batting .480 (12-for-25) with five runs scored, seven RBI, three doubles, a triple, and a home run during her seven-game hitting streak.
