
Panthers Host #10 Notre Dame On Senior Day At The Pete Sunday Afternoon

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball team (10-16, 3-12 ACC) will be looking for their third straight ACC victory Sunday afternoon as they play host to #10 Notre Dame at the Petersen Events Center. Sunday's game will tip at 2:00 pm and air live on ACC Network Extra.

GAME PROMOTIONS
- Sunday is a busy day at the Pete as the Panthers will be hosting a variety of different events. Pitt will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX with a day full of programming called "Hail to Her". There will be pregame, in-game and postgame programming focused on celebrating women.
- Sunday will also be Senior Day for six Panthers. Pregame, Pitt will honor Channise Lewis, Destiny Strother, Cynthia Ezeja, Dayshanette Harris, Emy Hayford and Amber Brown.
- At halftime, the Panthers will honor one of the best to ever wear the Pitt basketball jersey. The athletic department will be retiring the #12 jersey of Jennifer Bruce with a halftime ceremony to honor one of the greats in Pitt WBB history. She will become just the second female to have her Pitt jersey retired.
- It will also be Chancellor's Day at the Pete as our friends from around campus will be in attendance to cheer us on.
- We will also be welcoming back our amazing alums for Alumni Day at the Pete.

- Senior captain Dayshanette Harris is finding her groove over the past seven games as she has led Pitt in scoring in five of those games. Harris netted 13 points, three assists and three steals in Thursday's win over Boston College. Over her past seven games, she is averaging 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 50.0% from the floor.
- Junior Liatu King is enjoying the best season of her career as she is averaging a career-high 10.0 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting 41.1% from the floor. King ranks 4th in the ACC in blocks (1.4 bpg) and 5th in rebounds (7.7 rpg).
- Pitt hosts #10 on Sunday afternoon for a 2pm tip on ACC Network Extra. Sunday's game will be Pitt's Senior Day as they will honor six players with a pregame ceremony.
- Grad transfer Channise Lewis is providing Pitt with a calming presence in the backcourt and she has produced in a big way over her past six games. Last time out, Lewis netted a career-high 15 points and six assists as Pitt earned the win over BC. She is averaging 8.7 points and 3.5 assists over her past six games.
- The Pitt bench is producing monster numbers of late as they have combined to score a program record 109 points across the past two wins for the Panthers.
- This meeting marks the 38th between the two programs with Notre Dame owning the 33-4 lead in the all-time series.
- The Fighting Irish have won four straight in the series including a 69-63 win on Feb. 9 in South Bend.
- Notre Dame is 16-2 all-time in games played in Pittsburgh.
- Pitt's last win over the Fighting Irish came in 2020 in the ACC Tournament First Round.
- Notre Dame enters Sunday's game with a 21-4 overall record and a 12-3 ACC mark. They have won three straight including a 78-76 overtime win over Louisville last time out. They are currently ranked #10 in the latest AP top-25 poll.
- The Irish are led by one of the best players in the nation, Olivia Miles. She is averaging a team-high 15.0 points, 7.2 assists, 7.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals while shooting 48.2% from the floor. Miles ranks 4th in the NCAA in assists per game (7.2 apg).
- Fellow sophomore Sonia Citron is averaging 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals while connecting on a team-high 38 triples and shooting 43.2% from deep. Maddy Westbeld has been solid down low, averaging 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and a team-high 1.4 blocks.
- As a team, Notre Dame is averaging 76.5 points per game while allowing 59.2 points per contest.
- The Pitt bench has made a big impact so far this season as the Panthers' depth has really shined.
- Last time out, Pitt posted their second straight game scoring 50+ bench points as they netted 51 in the home win over Boston College.
- In the road win over Georgia Tech Sunday, the Panthers scored a program record 58 bench points from five different players. Pitt had four bench players score in double figures for the first time in program history.
- The 58 bench points are the 6th most scored in a game so far this season in the NCAA. They are the second most bench points scored against a Power 5 team and the most scored in a road win by a team in the NCAA so far this season.
- Pitt is also the only team in the country this season to score 50+ bench points twice on the year and in back-to-back games.
- Over the past two games, Pitt has scored 109 points from their bench which is the most over a two-game span in program history. It also marks the first time Pitt had two straight games with 50+ bench points.
- Pitt has now scored 30+ bench points in four straight games for the first time in program history.
- The Panthers bench is averaging 26.0 points per game so far this season. Pitt set a program record last season scoring an average of 22.4 points per game from their bench.
- On the year, Pitt has 10 games with 30+ bench points after posting only four such games all last season. The 10 games with 30+ points for their bench are the most such games in a single season in program history.

CHANNISE LEWIS FINDING HER GROOVE
- Graduate transfer Channise Lewis has turned into a key member of the Panthers squad over the past month.
- Last time out, Lewis posted a career-high 15 points, six assists and just one turnover while going 5-for-8 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the arc in the win over Boston College.
- Lewis is one of six players in the NCAA (only player in the ACC) to post a game with at least 15 points, six assists and one turnover. She is also the first Panther since Brianna Kiesel in 2015 to post that statline.
- Lewis is enjoying the best stretch of her Pitt career over her past four games as she is averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 assists while shooting 54.2% from the floor and 69.2% from behind the arc. She has also only turned the ball over three times in her last four games.
- On the year, Lewis is averaging 4.6 points and a team-high 2.2 assists while shooting 40.0% from behind the arc. She has appeared in 20 games and made five starts at point for the Panthers.
- The Panthers return to the Pete Thursday night for their final home game of the season as they welcome the Syracuse Orange. Thursday's game will tip at 6:00 pm and air live on ACC Network Extra.
