Pitt Heads to Greensboro to Compete at ACC Championships

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh swimming and diving teams head to Greensboro, N.C. for the 2023 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships Feb. 14-18 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The Panthers are led by first-year head coach Chase Kreitler and sixth-year diving coach Katie Kasprzak, along with a team of skilled assistant coaches. Pitt's swimming and diving team is comprised of a strong group of experienced athletes and newcomers in search to post top times and scores at the ACC Championships.
Prelims begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with finals starting at 5:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, prelims begin at 9:30 a.m. with the finals starting at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m., the 1650 Freestyle Finals will be at 2:45 p.m., followed by the remainder of the event finals at 5:30 p.m. Live updates are available HERE or on the Meet Mobile App. Follow along on Instagram and Twitter, @PITT_SWIM_DIVE for more updates.
Previous ACC Championships scorers, Cooper van der Laan, Marcin Goraj, Sophie Yendell and Kate Furhman, are all looking to post strong swims this week and qualify for the NCAA Championships with many other returners who will bring more scoring potential. Newcomers Derek Zhang, Claire Jansen, and Emily Bucaro and more will be making their ACC debut this week.
For the divers, Dylan Reed and Rachel Dickerson could make a huge impact on the Panthers' performance this week. Reed is eager to continue his success at the ACC Championships after taking home the bronze medal in the men's 1-meter finals last year.
