
Panthers head To Atlanta For Sunday Afternoon Meeting With Georgia Tech

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball team (8-16, 1-12 ACC) hits the road for their second straight away home Sunday afternoon as they travel to Atlanta to take the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 2:00 pm. Sunday's game will air on ACC Network Extra.

She netted a season-high 20 points at #10 Notre Dame Thursday and has posted averages of 13.2 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 54.3% from the floor over the past five games.
- Junior Liatu King is enjoying the best season of her career as she is averaging a career-high 10.0 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 40.4% from the floor. King ranks 4th in the ACC in blocks (1.5 bpg) and 5th in rebounds (7.6 rpg).
- The Panthers stay on the road Sunday as they travel to Georgia Tech for a 2pm tip on ACC Network Extra.
- Senior Amber Brown is enjoying her best offensive season of her career as she is averaging a team-high 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 50.6% from the floor. Brown is closing in on 1,000 career points as she currently has 938 points.
- The Panthers have hung tough against some of the best competition in the country this season as they have led or been within five points of the lead in the fourth quarter in eight of 13 ACC games including last time out at #10 Notre Dame.
- This meeting marks the 12th between the two programs with Georgia Tech holding the 8-3 edge in the all-time series.

- Freshman Tonie Morgan is having a nice season as she is averaging 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.6 assists while shooting 40.1% from the floor in 23 starts.
- As a team, the Yellow Jackets are averaging 60.8 points per game while allowing 60.4 points per contest.
- Senior captain Amber Brown has been the Panthers' best rebounder since stepping foot on campus in 2019.
- She currently ranks second on the team in rebounds per game this season (5.0 rpg), marking the third straight season ranking second on the squad. She led Pitt in rebounding as a freshman, averaging a career-high 7.7 rebounds per game.
- For her career, Brown has grabbed 652 rebounds including 216 on the offensive end of the court. She currently ranks 11th in program history but sits just 12 shy of 10th place on the all-time charts.
