Panthers Continue Road Journey to Indiana for Quad-Meet

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team (3-5, 0-0 EAGL) will travel to Muncie, IN for a quad-meet against Ball State, Fisk, and SEMO at the Worthen Arena on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 1:00 p.m. E.T.

- The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team (3-5, 0-2 EAGL) fell to NC State and George Washington on Saturday evening at the Reynolds Coliseum.
- The Panthers claimed three title wins from Saturday's meet.
- Freshmen Kennedy Duke and sophomore Sidney Washington tied for the first-place title on vault with their score of a 9.900.
- Freshman Natalia Pawlak secured the first-place title on bars (9.925) and sophomore Hallie Copperwheat earned the first-place title in the all-around with her score of 39.350.
- On Sunday afternoon, the Cardinals took home a victory over Eastern Michigan (195.975-193.975).
- Junior Victoria Henry tied the team's fourth-best-all-around in their program history with a score of 39.325.
- This will be the 15th meeting between the Cardinals and the Panthers with Pitt having a 10-4 lead.
- At the Tennessee Collegiate Classic, SEMO finished fourth in front of Fisk (190.025) and behind Ball State (196.550), Lindenwood (196.175), and Kent State (195.525).
- The Redhawks posted their season-high score at Friday's meet – earning a 195.350.
- Sophomore Janelle Lopez earned the highest score for the Redhawks on bars – recording a 9.825.
- Sunday will be the 3rd meeting between SEMO and Pitt.
- First year program and HBCU, Fisk, finished fifth behind Ball State, Lindenwood, Kent State, and SEMO, respectively.
- The Gymdogs posted 190.025 at their first ever home meet on Friday night.
- Floor was Fisk's strongest rotation of the night – earning a 48.775 – with freshman Morgan Price taking the lead for the Gymdogs with her score of a 9.875.
- This will be the first time the Panthers and Bulldogs will compete against each other.
- Pitt will return home for the Backyard Brawl against West Virginia on Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Field House.
