Pitt Drops Second Game of Home Series Against No. 5 Virginia

PITTSBURGH – Pitt baseball (20-13, 8-8) fell 18-0 to No. 5 Virginia (27-8, 10-7) Saturday at Charles L. Cost Field.
The Cavaliers secured a lead with two RBI-hits in the first frame of the game. After two runs in the third inning, Virginia pushed the game out of reach with seven runs in the fifth inning.
The rubber match is Sunday at 2 p.m. and slated for an ACC Network broadcast.
