PITTSBURGH – The Pitt softball team hosts ACC opponent Boston College for three games and its final regular season home contests of the season starting Thursday evening at 6 p.m.

- The Panthers close out their home schedule with three games against ACC opponent Boston College April 14-16.
- The team will honor graduate student Ally Muraskin and junior Makenzie Stiles prior to Saturday's game in honor of senior day.
- Pitt has won six of the last eight meetings between the Eagles, recently splitting a four-game series last year in Chestnut Hill.

- Senior Yvonne Whaley leads the team in batting with a .314 mark, totaling 33 hits, 3 doubles, 5 walks, 5 stolen bases and 13 runs in the leadoff role. She has reached base safely in 14 of her last 16 games.
- Senior Katlyn Pavlick is hitting a team-best .345 in conference play, registering 10 hits, 3 doubles, 2 homers, 7 RBI and a .655 SLG%. She went 3-for-7 with 2 doubles, a homer and 2 RBI vs. Clemson.
- Redshirt freshman Dani Drogemuller is 8-8 with 125 strikeouts and 10 complete games this season. She has 12 games with 7+ strikeouts.
- Senior Sarah Seamans is batting .462 with six hits in her last four games. She totaled three hits vs. Saint Francis (4/6) and two vs. Clemson (4/8) and has six multi-hit games this season.
SCOUTING REPORT
- Boston College enters Vartabedian Field with a record of 17-19 and 3-12 in ACC play.
- The Eagles rank 25th in the country and fourth in the ACC with a .973 fielding percentage.
- Starting pitcher Susannah Anderson (#1) was recently named ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week Tuesday. For the season, Anderson is 7-9 with a 3.20 ERA, three shutouts and 66 strikeouts in 98.1 innings thrown.
- Ellie Mataya (#16) leads the Eagle offense with a .353 batting average. She has a team-best 41 hits with 7 doubles, 3 triples, 10 RBI, 11 walks and 11 stolen bases. Her .412 on-base percentage and .878 OPS are team-highs.
- These two teams last played April 23-24, 2021, splitting a four-game series at Boston College.
- Boston College enters with the 29th toughest schedule in the country, compared to Pitt who has the fourth toughest.
STRONG SECOND HALF FOR SEAMANS
- Senior first baseman Sarah Seamans has been steady at the plate over the course of the last month of play.
- Seamans is batting .360 with nine hits, two doubles, three RBI, one walk and has two stolen bases in her last eight games. She has a .440 SLG% and .385 OB% in that span.
- The New Castle, Pa., native has hit well at home, totaling nine hits, two doubles and two RBI at Vartabedian Field (she did not play in the Notre Dame series due to injury).
- Seamans tied a single game career-high with three hits vs. Saint Francis April 6.
- For the season, she is batting .288 with 23 hits, 11 runs, five doubles, a triple, three homers, 15 RBI and 10 walks. She also has four stolen bases and a .855 OPS.

- Pitt heads on the road for eight-straight away contests, beginning Tuesday, April 19 at Bucknell.
- It then heads to Charlottesville, Va., for three games versus Virginia followed by a mid-week contest at Robert Morris Tuesday, May 3.
