The Panthers broke the game open in the bottom of the third as Brunson connected on a pitch to deep center for a two-run home run, the first of her career. Pitt ended the third with two runs on three hits.
Tennessee Tech (7-4) led off the top of the fifth with a single and a walk while a sacrifice bunt moved the runners to third and second with one out.
