Pitt Diving to Host George Washington

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt men's and women's diving team will host George Washington in a diving event only meet Nov. 11-12 at Trees Pool.
The scores from the diving meet will be calculated into the final team scores when the swimming team hosts George Washington Nov. 18-19 at Trees Pool. The final decision of the meet will be determined upon the completion of the swimming only meet next week.

The Pitt diving program returns to Trees Pool after a successful double dual meet against Boston College and Georgia Tech Saturday, November 5. Overall, the women's swimming and diving team defeated Boston College, 187.5-112.5, and fell to Georgia Tech, 128-172. The men's team dominated Boston College, 230-70, and fell to Georgia Tech, 131-169.
PNC Achiever of the Week, Rachel Dickerson has made a strong debut for the Panthers. In two meets, the freshman has claimed three first-place finishes on the springboards (2, 1-meter; 1, 3-meter) and a second-place finish (3-meter). During the last meet, Dickerson and sophomore Jess Vega made qualifying marks for the NCAA Diving Zones. Vega finished fourth in the 1-meter (266.30) and fifth in the 3-meter (266.20).
Cameron Cash, Dylan Reed and Josh Parquet all made qualifying marks for NCAA Diving Zones during the meet against Boston College and Georgia Tech. Cash (370.40), Reed (342.20), and Parquet (307.00) finished 2-3-4 in the 1-meter, respectively. The diving trio sustained their excellence into the 3-meter event, as Reed took second place (408.40) and Cash finished right behind in third place (407.00).
Reed Invited to Team USA
Senior diver Dylan Reed, a three-time NCAA Championship qualifier, has received an invitation to the 2022-23 USA Diving High Performance Squad. Reed is the first member of the Pitt diving program to garner this invitation.
