Panthers Set To Begin NCAA East Preliminary Round Action Wednesday

NCAA EAST PRELIMINARY ROUND
May 26-29 | Host: University of North Florida
Jacksonville, FL | Hodges Stadium
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh track and field teams will compete this week at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, FL with their sights set on advancing to the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, OR in two weeks. The four-day meet will begin on Wednesday afternoon and run through Saturday with 16 Pitt student-athletes vying for a trip to the national meet.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE
- Qualifying to the Championships site is accomplished through performance in the Preliminary Round competition.
- Twelve competitors from each individual event and 12 teams from each relay event advance from each Preliminary Round site.
- Those accepted into Championships competition based on their performance at Preliminary Round competition will be announced and posted on NCAA.com the week prior to Championships competition.
