Pitt got on the board first in the fourth inning with back-to-back home runs. Kyle Hess led off with a homer to right field, his fifth of the year. Nico Popa followed with a shot over the batter's eye in centerfield, his ninth of the year.

Pitt heads to Charlotte for the ACC Tournament as the No. 10 seed and is in a pool with No. 3 NC State and No. 6 North Carolina. The two games against the Wolfpack and Tar Heels are to be next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday with game times and dates to be announced Sunday by the league.
