No. 17 Pitt Defeats West Virginia 5-1 for Backyard Brawl Win

Pitt secured the lead in the third inning and never looked back. With one out, Kyle Hess homered to left field, his third of the season. Ron Washington, Jr. followed with a double to centerfield, and David Yanni hit an infield single. Bryce Hulett knocked in both on a double to right center. After Hulett advanced to third base on a groundout from Brock Franks, he scored on an infield single by Jackson Phinney.
