PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh track and field team will begin their postseason portion of their schedule this week as they head to Charlottesville, VA to compete in the 2019 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Lannigan Field. The conference meet will be hosted by the Virginia Cavaliers and will run from Thursday until Saturday afternoon.

The conference meet will be hosted by the Virginia Cavaliers and will run from Thursday until Saturday afternoon.

- Shawn Kenney will return to handle the play-by-play, while former U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Dan O'Brien will serve as color analyst. They will be again be joined by distance race analyst David Mitchell and Melanie Newman as sideline reporters.
- Action at Lannigan Field will kick off on Thursday at 12:30 pm as the men's decathlon will begin with the 100m dash. Thursday action will conclude at 8:30 pm with the men's 10,000m run.
- Friday action will start at 11:00 am with the conclusion of the decathlon and will wrap up at 8:10 pm with the men's 3,000m steeplechase.
- Championship Saturday will commence at 1:30 pm with the men's discus and will conclude at 6:50 pm with the men's 4x400m relay finals.

- Medalists (top three) in each individual event will earn All-ACC first team honors. Student-athletes placing fourth through sixth in each individual event will comprise the second team.
- Members of each winning relay team will be designated All-ACC first team.
- Members of each second- and third-place relay team will earn All-ACC second team honors.
- The Panthers saw 12 individuals earn All-ACC recognition last season at the ACC Outdoor Championships in Miami.
- The lone Panther to collect First Team All-ACC honors was Noah Walker who took home third place in the javelin with a mark of 67.10m. He became the first Pitt javelin athlete to collect First Team honors.
- The men's 4x400m relay team of Dante' Watson, Jabari Michael-Khensu, Ade Jones-Roundtree and Lonzell Feagin took home the silver medal with a season-best time of 3:07.99, tying the Panthers best ever finish in the event. The quartet each earned Second Team All-ACC honors.
- Jones-Roundtree and Michael-Khensu then collected another Second Team nod as they took home fourth and fifth respectively in the 200m dash.
- Two javelin throwers ended up on the Second Team as Grant Jones took home fourth place on the men's side and Carolyn Helenski placed fifth.
- Taylor Middleton became the first Panther in program history to earn All-ACC Outdoor triple jump honors with a fifth place finish as she notched a personal best leap of 12.75m.
- In the 110m hurdles, Shyheim Wright collected Second Team honors after taking home fifth place in 14.27 seconds.
- As a freshman, Greg Lauray became the first Panther in program history to earn All-ACC high jump honors as he took home fifth place, clearing a height of 2.12m (6'11.5").
- Kelly Hayes earned a Second Team All-ACC nod in the 3,000m steeplechase as she took home fifth place in the event with a school record time of 10:18.64.
- Desiree Garland became Pitt's first All-ACC women's outdoor 400m honoree in program history as she finished in sixth place in 53.43 seconds.
- Entering the ACC Outdoor Championships, the Pitt women rank in the top-10 in four events.
