- The Panthers lead the ACC with 8.0 blocked shots per game. Pitt has posted back-to-back outings with 10 or more blocks, swatting 11 against Towson (Nov. 19) and a season-high 12 at Cincinnati (Nov. 21). The Panthers' 12 blocks against the Bearcats are a season-high mark for the ACC.
- Junior center Kalista Walters leads the ACC through five games this season with a field goal percentage of .718 (28-of-39). She ranks third in blocked shots with 2.6 per contest.
- Pitt's 66-46 win at Cincinnati last time out marked the Panthers' largest margin of victory since topping North Carolina, 68-48, last season (Jan. 15, 2017). It was Pitt's biggest win on the road since the Panthers defeated Wake Forest by 25 (65-41) in Winston-Salem, N.C., Feb. 15, 2015.

- Extend the Panthers' win streak to three games, marking its longest streak since starting the 2016-17 season at 6-0.
- Give Pitt a 1-0 advantage in the series against Arkansas State.

LAST TIME OUT
- Six different Panthers contributed from 3-point range in a 66-46 road win for Pitt at Cincinnati Tuesday night at St. Ursula Academy.
- Redshirt junior forward Yacine Diop led Pitt in scoring for the fourth consecutive outing with a game-high 17 points. She was 6-of-6 at the free throw line, contributing to the Panthers' perfect 7-of-7 night from the charity stripe. She added three assists and a team-high six rebounds.
- Pittsburgh natives Alayna Gribble and Cassidy Walsh each had nine points on 3-of-7 shooting from long range. Junior Danielle Garven had eight points and five rebounds. Sophomore point guard Jasmine Whitney had a well-rounded performance of eight assists, seven points, six rebounds and two steals.
SCOUTING THE RED WOLVES
- Arkansas State (2-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) topped UT Martin in its home opener Tuesday, 84-73. The Red Wolves are 1-2 away from Jonesboro so far this year, dropping games at Indiana (93-51) and No. 22 South Florida (98-55), and picking up a win at Florida (70-69).
- Junior guard Akasha Westbrook leads the squad with 15.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
- Saturday will be the first meeting between the Red Wolves and Panthers.
